There are good reasons to be wary about the quantification and commodification of daily routines, at home and at work. I consider to explore the topic at WOF 2016 through a series of micro-interventions and subliminal encounters ‘anywhere’ at the Kirchner Museum and … ‘by the tree’ (see ‘encounters by the tree’, WOF 2015).

The installation from 2014 ‘Rituals of Self Design’ (see video) articulated an analogy: the relation between home improvement and body improvement. More recently, the January 2016 exhibition in London, ‘Domesticated’, referred to practices of self-optimisation and control, allowing audiences to act and reflect on the furniture-scale objects on site. WOF Christl Mudrak continues to work!

Momentan arbeite ich an Punkträumen für Punkthäuser, das passt eigentlich ganz gut. Ein gutes Video habe ich gerade nicht dazu, aber ich sende mal ein paar Bilder. Es wäre auch toll für ein Video, weil das herunterfallen von den einzelnen Tropfen einen wirklich tollen Sound macht. Ich bin nur gerade im finalen Abgabestress meines Diss. Deswegen bin ich jetzt für ein paar Tage bis zum 01. April an den Computer gebunden. Dann kann ich eines machen.

Hätte große Lust, im Raum der Malereien eine Bodenarbeit auf PVC zu machen, wenn sowas geht. Oder auch schon ein grosses Stück Boden, das genau reinpasst mitzubringen, wo die gesamten Ränder schon bemalt sind und daran in der Mitte weiterzuarbeiten, so dass genügend Abstand zu den Gemälden gehalten werden kann.
